FACTORS INFLUENCING LIBRARIANSHIP STUDENTS’ PARTICIPATION IN SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AT CAN THO UNIVERSITY, VIETNAM

This paper focuses on examining the factors affecting the librarianship students’ participation in scientific research in Can Tho University, Vietnam. The research is based on the conceptual framework and the State's regulations related to scientific research among students. Conducted by the quantitative method with a survey of 137 current librarianship students, the findings show that factors such as passion, external motivation and self-interest are influenced on students' participation in scientific research. The study also shows that the benefits of scientific research are the most powerful factors that motivate students to participate in research. On the contrary, the low awareness of self-study is the factor that prevents students from involving in scientific research activities. These findings are not only useful for the Department of Information and Library Management, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Can Tho University, but also an important reference for other training units in related to promoting research activities among students.

THE EFFECT OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT AND EMPLOYEE DISCIPLINE ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE IN THE COVID-D PANDEMIC PERIOD AT THE SOUTH CIMAHI DISTRICT, CIMAHI CITY

This research explains the effect of career development variables and employee discipline on employee performance. In this research, the Explonatory Research method was used by using a questionnaire as a data collection tool which was distributed to 75 employees at the South Cimahi sub-district office, Cimahi City. Data analysis in this research used descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that simultaneously and partially career development variables, work discipline have a significant influence on employee performance. This is indicated by the simultaneous test results obtained a significant value of F of 0.000 which is smaller than of 0.05 (0.000 <0.05). The significance value is below 5%, resulting in a decision H₁, accepted and H₀rejected. The results of the partial test for career development obtained a significance value of t of 0.001 which is smaller than of 0.05 (0.000 <0.05) and the highest B coefficient of 0.346. The results of the partial test of the work discipline variable have the greatest t significance of 0.031. The results of the partial test of employee performance variables have the smallest t significance of 0.000.

Muawanah Al-Ma'soem is one of the companies that produce Packaged Water located in Bandung Regency. The marketing of this product is carried out in various regions in West Java, one of which is in the Bandung Regency area. However, the current marketing is less effective in increasing sales volume. Moreover, in the Bandung Regency area, many competing companies also enter the same market. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the marketing strategy by considering the company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. By using SWOT, it will produce several alternative strategies that can be used by companies in carrying out marketing activities. From several alternative strategies, there is the best strategy will be selected using the QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) method, so the best strategy is obtained to be applied by the company in increasing its sales volume.

During the current Covid-19 pandemic, a faster supply process is needed, especially such as medicines that are needed and urgently needed. Antacids as Stomach Acid Drugs are one example, because Chronic Stomach Acid Disease can worsen the condition of Covid-19 patients. PT. Lucas Djaja is a manufacturing industry company in the current production conditions, there are indications of waste that causes the production process to be less efficient. The purpose of this study is to identify waste that occurs in the production line. The method used to map the activity process in order to identify the occurrence of waste is to use Value Stream Mapping, which in this mapping is divided into two, namely Current Stream Mapping and Future Stream Mapping. In the Current Stream Mapping is made to describe the current flow of material, then Value Stream Analysis is carried out by weighting activities that are not value added. It was found that there were four activities including waste, namely waiting for the Work in Process to cool down, waiting for the Coding Etiquette and Carbox process, waiting for work order documents and rework on bottle caps. After this, improvements are made with Root Cause Analysis to identify the root cause of the waste. Then use 5w + 1h to get the proposed improvement. After the proposed improvement is obtained, then a mapping is carried out with Future Stream Mapping to provide an idea if the waste can be eliminated. So that the Antacid production process time can run according to the expected processing time and become more efficient than before. The production process time that has been saved is 48 minutes 14 seconds.

UTILIZATION OF IoTs FOR MONITORING OF GOODS DELIVERY

The development of computer technology has been so rapid, encouraging authors to take advantage of these developments to conduct research on monitoring the entire fleet of vehicles used to deliver and pick up goods in a business company. Monitoring is seen as very important to ensure that goods sent or taken to support business processes are carried out according to a predetermined schedule. This is to avoid disruptions in the process of sending or picking up goods that can harm the company or harm consumers. This monitoring device utilizes IoT technology, where every fleet is installed with Arduino microcontrollers, GPRS modules, and GPS modules, where the Arduino microcontroller module will send locations every minute using a GPRS connection to a server inside the company, then the server will record all record the location of the existing fleet of vehicles. With the travel records of the entire fleet, it will be easier for the company to monitor and provide assistance to the process of sending or picking up goods in the event of disturbances in the middle of the trip. The author's server side application utilizes open source applications, namely mysql database, apache web server, and PHP programming language.

EFFECTIVENESS OF ONLINE LEARNING IN THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The Covid-19 pandemic, which has affected practically every country on the planet, has had an impact on changes in the system and order of life, including the education system in Indonesia. Because of the epidemic, learning that could previously be done face-to-face must now be done online. The application of online learning during the COVID-19 epidemic must be assessed. One of them is discovered as a result of this research. The purpose of this research is to investigate the efficacy of high school online learning in Central Java. The survey research method was employed, along with a questionnaire instrument. According to the findings, 44.1 percent of students were unsatisfied with the implementation of online learning, 12 percent were extremely displeased, 27.2 percent were very content, 12.9 percent were satisfied, and just 3.8 percent were very satisfied. Poor signal problems, inefficient quotas, unsupported cellphones, and students feeling bored and bored with online learning are some of the constraints that students face while learning online. Teachers use Google Classroom, WhatsApp, Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams for online learning. In terms of the learning approach adopted, students continue to favor face-to-face learning with a 44.7 percent preference. In addition to the face-to-face format, 39.9 percent of students choose the blended learning model, which combines online and offline instruction. Only 15.5 percent prefer online education.

The Karawang District Court is an official body or institution that organizes the judicial system in the form of examination, examination, and deciding cases. In carrying out its duties and functions, the Karawang District Court cannot be separated from the competition out there which demands that each division or division in it is required to be able to manage every stage of science effectively and efficiently. If this knowledge is managed properly, there will be many benefits that can increase the competence of the Karawang District Court. Therefore, it is necessary to apply knowledge management in the Karawang District Court which is an attraction for researchers to analyze the readiness of the application of the KM system in the Karawang District Court. Therefore, this study aims to measure the level of readiness to implement the system in the Karawang District Court. The research method used is descriptive quantitative while compiling the questionnaire using the Knowledge Management Success Factor (KMCSF) approach to help determine the extent to which the Karawang District Court is ready to implement knowledge management. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with the type of snowball, so the number of respondents in this study was 60 respondents. The results of this study after data analysis and data testing can be concluded that the Karawang District Court is ready to implement knowledge management.

Farina Beauty Clinic is one of the beauty clinics which is a beauty clinic in Karawang that handles facial and body skin beauty problems. Farina Beauty Clinic really prioritizes customer satisfaction so that they always look beautiful, healthy and youthful in accordance with the expectations and desires of customers as well as current trends. which was adopted by Farina who already exists at Farina Beauty Clinic, namely Farina Beauty Clinic Mobile. This study aims to determine the level of quality and the factors that drive the Farina Beauty Clinic Mobile application using the Service Quality (Servqual) method. The sampling method used in this research is Non-Probability Sampling with purposive sampling technique, with the number of respondents as many as 158 respondents. The results of this study indicate that all indicators X1, X2, X3, X3, X4 and X5 on the t test and the successive test have a significant effect on the user's application quality because they have a sign value of 0.001 < 0.05 and a t value Count > t Table. Farina Beauty Clinic is expected to be able to maintain indicators that have satisfied its performance and improve low performance attributes so that users are satisfied with the performance provided by Farina Beauty Clinic to users.

THE MODERATING ROLE of SUSTAINABILITY REPORT ON GOOD CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AND TAX AVOIDANCE

The employment of appropriate measures for regulating the tax expense is critical. The industry can avoid tax cases that have a negative influence on the sector in the future by employing appropriate procedures for regulating the tax expense. The company's strategy is based on the effective tax rate. The goal of this research was to look into the moderating role of sustainability reports in influencing good corporate governance and tax avoidance. The goal of this research was to look into the moderating role of sustainability reports in influencing good corporate governance and tax avoidance. The firms in the mining sector that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015 to 2019 were used in this study. Purposive sampling was the method adopted in this study. Eviews9 is a method for analyzing data. The results of the analysis show that institutional ownership and independent board of commissioners have a negative impact on tax avoidance. This suggests that the two supervisors' roles in the organization can help to limit managerial behavior when it comes to tax avoidance. The audit committee has no impact on tax evasion. As a moderator, the sustainability report has a negative impact on institutional ownership and independent commissioners with regard to tax avoidance. That the company discloses its sustainability report and the high role of institutional ownership will be able to reduce tax avoidance actions in the company. Meanwhile, the sustainability report has been unable to serve as a moderator for the audit committee on tax avoidance.

STUDY OF ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTIONS AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS: BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS

This study examines the development of research on entrepreneurial intentions among university students using bibliometric analysis. The study aims to determine: (1) The result of the number of international publications on entrepreneurial intentions among university students. (2) Name of journal, author, and publisher of research on entrepreneurial intention among university students (3) Map of the topic of entrepreneurial intention among university students publications based on co-words. Collect data by searching for public or perish with the keywords entrepreneurship, intention, student, university article title, abstract, and keywords in 2010–2020. The number of articles taken was 200 articles with categories based on the number of citations from the largest to the smallest. Subjects were analyzed using Microsoft Excel. Meanwhile, the trend of topic mapping was analyzed using VosViewer software. The results showed that the highest growth development in 2010 - 2020 occurred in 2016, reaching 25 publications. Most international publications are published in the Emerald journal as many as 35 articles. Most citations 762 from authors F Liñán, D Urbano, M Guerrero published by Taylor & Francis. Research on entrepreneurial intentions among university students attracts many researchers from various regions. Still, from bibliometric analysis, only two countries appear with the most categories, namely South Africa and Pakistan. The theoretical model used is dominated by Theory Planned Behaviour (TPB) Ajzen, 1991. For further research, the author suggests additional keywords so that more research results are more accurate and comprehensive.

The development of information technology is currently growing rapidly accompanying changes in society in lifestyle. Access to get information needs is now increasing, easy, fast, all of this is supported by the internet. As we all know, at the end of 2019 mankind around the world was shaken by the Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic which caused panic everywhere. Hundreds of thousands of people were infected and thousands more died. Then in early 2020, Covid-19 entered Indonesia. To provide information to the public, a website-based information system was built regarding the updated information about Covid-19. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of community satisfaction, especially in Karawang Regency. The method used in this study is the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) 3. The population in this study is the entire community in Karawang Regency, while the sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling type so that the sample in this study is 100 respondents. The results of this study indicate that the variables of Benefit, Ease of Use, Ability to use Computer, Obligation to use, Interest in Usage Behavior, and Attitude of Use respectively significantly affect the level of community satisfaction with the Covid-19 website Karawang.

LEVERAGING EXEMPLIFICATION EFFECT FOR RISK COMMUNICATION

This research aims to evaluate the relative impact of each visual, text, and visual and text exemplars taken from Kompas.com COVID-19 news on how it is perceived as a factor in influencing risk. The means of exemplar though versatile and uses widespread in media presentation to provide information and attractiveness of phenomenon for the audience, has received little attention in communication research, especially in Indonesia. An experimental study using post-test only group design in two sub-districts at South Jakarta red zone area followed by ANOVA analysis found that visual, text, and visual and text exemplars exposed to each group have significantly induced risk of contracting COVID-19. A further means plots were also conducted to investigate the tendency that may emerge from previous results. Moreover, the essence of this research also reveals age 18-25 has the lowest perceived risk level, while age 40-50 indicates the highest level. Further, women are seen to have more tendency to have perceived greater risk compared to men. These findings provide new insight into the impact of messages, particularly when engaging exemplification effect in risk communications.

The purpose of this study is to look at the differences in Non Performing Financing before and during the covid 19 pandemic at Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia as seen from Natural Certainty Contracts through murabaha, istishna', and ijara financing while salam contracts are not used because they do not have a contribution in sharia financing. Quantitative research methods are used in this study using a sample of 14 Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. The data period used is 2019-2020 assuming 2019 as data before the pandemic and 2020 as data during the pandemic. The data analysis technique used is paired samples t-test. The results showed that non-performing financing of murabaha financing before and during a pandemic covid 19 no differences, while non-performing financing on the Istishna' financing and significant differences where non-performing financing of Istishna’ increased and non-performing financing Ijara decline.

HOW THE IMPACT FINANCIAL LITERACY AND GENDER ON INCOME AMONG KOREAN POP LOVERS (KPOPERS) IN KARAWANG?

The level of financial literacy of the Indonesian is still relatively low due to lack of knowledge about financial products and services and how to apply them through inappropriate financial attitudes and behaviors. This has become one of the important things for Kpopers because their personal finances are not only used for daily needs and future planning, but also used for hobbies. The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of financial literacy among Korean Pop Lovers (Kpopers) in Karawang. This study also aims to determine the effect of gender, age and financial literacy on income Kpopers in Karawang.

The sampling method in this study used a saturated sample that is the entire population used as a research sample. The sample in this study amounted to 150 Kpopers in Karawang. This study uses a quantitative approach obtained through a questionnaire to 150 Kpopers respondents in Karawang which is then processed using multiple linear regression analysis.

The result of this study indicate that gender dan age factors have a positive effect on Kpopers income in period 2020. While financial literacy doesn’t have impact on Kpopers income in Karawang period 2020. In addition, the result of this study also show that the Kpopers financial literacy level in Karawang period 2020 is in the high category, it can be interpreted that most of Kpopers in Karawang have good knowledge of financial.

The paper presents a student-led model for developing creative thinking to create high-quality human resources in the industrial revolution. This model is developed based on an open space with full of modern equipment for learning and scientific research activities of Can Tho University students. This open space is called the Maker Innovation Space and is run by most students. Students participating in projects such as Undergraduate Research Initiative (URI), engineering project in community services (EPICS), or Maker to Entrepreneur Program (MEP), scientific research projects, course projects or graduation theses can freely use this space. In addition, the Maker Innovation Space also organizes many STEM/STEAM training courses for both students and high school teachers to deploy scientific research programs to high schools. The Maker Innovation Space of Can Tho University works very effectively and is considered as a creative thinking model to create high-quality human resources for the economic and social development of the Mekong Delta region.

Enhancing effectively moral educational management for students is an urgent requirement in schools, especially at Junior high schools of Vietnamese educational contexts. The urgency of strengthening general education for students in Junior high schools in Chau Thanh District, Dong Thap Province, in the Mekong Delta regions, Vietnam is the basis for the problems of managing general education for the students . The research conducted a survey of 150 teachers and administrators of Junior high schools on the current situations of managing moral activities for students. Its method was mainly a questionnaire survey and a semi-structured interview. The data were processed through the mean score (MS) and percentage (%). The content of the survey and the interview focused on a number of situations such as The reality of awareness about the role of managing moral activities; current status of its planning and management; the actual situations of the organization and management of the implementation of the plans; the actual situation of management to direct the implementation of the plans; status of examinations and assessments of moral management for Junior high school students in Chau Thanh District, Dong Thap Province, Vietnam and its influenced factors. The article also would presents some suitable measures of moral educational management for Junior high school students at Chau Thanh District, Dong Thap Province, Vietnam on the path to create excellent students, posing both intelligent and high moral standard students.

The progress of information technology is currently so rapid, this technological progress greatly affects all aspects of life in society. These technological advances have penetrated all corners of the business world, industry, education, banking industry and even cooperatives. The Savings and Loans Cooperative of SMKN 1 Karawang is one of the cooperatives engaged in business. This cooperative consists of 138 teachers and 48 administrators with a cash turnover of ± Rp. 131,642,257/month. In daily transactions, Savings and Loans Cooperatives still use data recording and report generation manually. Constraints faced by cooperative management such as the chairman, secretary, treasurer and members themselves are the inaccuracy of calculating the remaining business results, confusion in collecting data on bills for each member which causes members' interest data to be often confused, and difficulties in archiving data. The purpose of this research is to design a savings and loan cooperative application using Vb.net. The method used is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) waterfall, while the data collection methods used are literature study, observation and interviews. The result of this research is the application of savings and loan cooperatives which are expected to assist cooperatives in carrying out their transactions.

WEB-BASED E-TAGGING INFORMATION SYSTEM DESIGN AT KALBE MORINAGA INDONESIA COMPANY

The development of information technology is currently very fast, one of which is in the company. From the development of information technology is expected to help facilitate all existing activities in a company. This study aims to build a web-based equipment damage reporting system at Kalbe Morinaga Indonesia Company. This web-based equipment damage reporting system is used to facilitate the delivery of equipment damage found by operators around the operator's working area. Thus the design of an information system requires accurate data and information so that the designed information system can meet the needs as desired. The research method used is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the waterfall model with the stages of analysis, design, coding and testing. Meanwhile, to get the data needed in this study is to conduct interviews, observations, and documentation. The result of this research is an e-tagging information system, this system is expected to make it easier to document the tagging process in the company's operations and can reduce the time needed for reporting, processing, and verifying a finding of equipment damage at Kalbe Morinaga Indonesia Company.
